Hi Milspouses.. I would say ladies, but more and more milspouses are men! Yay you!
Historically, one of the issues of being a milspouse is income earning potential. Since we move so often, earning and promotion potential are usually low. Unless you're working in the government sector, sometimes finding a job is a difficult task.
I have been fortunate to have been able to find great jobs; however, my earning potential was shot! I've been making about the same salary for almost 8 years.
I started a home-based business, and that changed my perspective greatly. While there have been many ups and downs, I've found that this can be a lucrative way to earn money.
At any rate, I teach classes on owning a home-based business centered around the milspouse.
What types of things would you like to know? This helps me keep my content current and relevant.
Thanks for your help!

Permalink Reply by Elyse on January 15, 2011 at 8:11pm I'd love to work from home but I have several issues that hold me back from doing it.
Biggest one: I'm not a salesman, so things like Avon, Scentsy, etc, are pretty much out of the question. I'd much rather get a piece-rate compensation for something that I can do on my own time.
Issue two: I don't know where to go/what to do to find jobs that I can do from home or on my own schedule. I'm afraid to respond to "Work from home now!" ads because I've heard that they can be just spam, and I don't want to put out any of my information for anyone to grab.
