Son's ship date for BMT is July 17th - Looking for others
My son leaves for BMT at Lackland on July 16th for a ship date of July 17th. He graduates Friday, September 14th. I am hoping to connect with other moms who are brand new to this and ideally meet moms whose child may be with mine. He will go on to INDOC training for ParaRescue after BMT.

Yes. Sunday he called and is in the hospital with a kidney stone. He was on an iv all last night. he does not want to be recycled. I will let you know.

The latest is that he is in a medical hold flight. They are doing a CT scan today to see if he passed it. They probably will schedule surgery this week. He will be recycled but at least he can get back to it...Thank you for your prayers! How is your son?

I will continue praying. This has to be hard for him and for you and your family. I cant imagine. Slade was able to call for the first time,last night. He sounded strong. He even joked a bit. Said it was very hard....but he was hanging in there.

That is great! He will be so strong when he gets done. Isn't it great to here his voice? I am hopeful they will recycle Chase back to week one (today would have begun WOT3) and he can get on his way. I will keep you informed.

Hi. So how is your son doing since his ship out date was July 17th? Can you tell me where he is now in relation to his para rescue training? I am brand new to all of this and would like to hear your insights. My son leaves this Monday, Aug 27, 2012 for Lackland / BMT. He will then begin his training for Combat Control.
