We've got a fun read for a lucky month!

We all need a healthy dose of luck, magic, and happy endings now and again, so this month
we'll be reading The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks! I've read many of this popular author's books, and this one is my favorite by far (Safe Haven, just out this year, coming in a close second)!
His website is at http://www.nicholassparks.com/ and has lots more books and movies of his to choose from. I always like authors who write prolifically because then I can enjoy them for many weeks to come (or as fast as I can read their books cover-to-cover!).
I think you'll fall in love with the lucky characters in this month's book! Enjoy!

Hey ya'll! I recently joined this group and was hoping someone could give me the 411. (A.K.A- I know I'm jumping in in the middle and I'm trying to play catch up. LOL!) Are ya'll still reading "The Lucky One"? If so, how was it? It's on my list of "Gotta Reads". Sadly, I'm a book worm and as I read one book, I add 5 more! Currently I'm reading "Confessions of a Military Wife" by Mollie Gross. I was first introduced to her at a SpouseBuzz event and her stand-up routine (she's a comedienne by trade) had me rolling! It's all based on her experiences as a military wife. If you enjoy seeing the humor in our crazy life, I highly recommend it.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I have read the Five Love Languages and it was wonderful. It helped me pinpoint what made me feel most loved and it helped me discover what made my husband feel most loved. It's amazing once you know what good buttons to push how much it helps in making your loved one feel loved.
I can't wait to check out the other two books.

I have to go on the M.A.R.P.-- the "Marti's Appetite Rehabilitation Program" and drop the 4 c's--chips, cookies, candy and cream-comma-ice! I hate the word DIEt...because it has the word DIE in it, and it makes you think you have to give everything up in order to lose weight or be healthy. I too have tried every diet known to man, and nothing works but making healthier choices and exercise. I have a hundred pounds to lose according to my doctor......so we shall see how my plan works. I have also gone to eating only fresh healthy foods, raw almonds, dried cherries, fresh lettuce, and seasonal fruits and veggies--no preservatives, additives or growth hormones....I certainly feel healthier just since dropping those things! I will check out Bittmans book....because I too am a foodie!!!!
