@Yvonne Jolly- You are like me with kids spaced by many years. Our girls are 15, 6, 3, and 2 years old. We are also moving next year and our 15 yr old will have to start her junior year at a new school. My parents were army and I moved my senior year. It's tough but I managed by trying to stay focused on bigger things like college. Its even tougher for my teen because she is really into sports and moving to a new team at the end of your high school career just complicates things even more.

Hi I am member #4! We have a son who's 15 and a daughter who's 13. Although they drove me nuts when they were young, I think I'm better suited to be a mom of teens. I tend to laugh with them a lot more now than I did when they were little.

Welcome, ladies! I was wondering when other spouses with teens would show up. I have 4 girls ages 15, 6, 3, and 2.

The reason I created this group is because I wanted to connect with other spouses that have kids that are experiencing what I did as a military teen and what my 15 yr old is now going through. You know...moving during high school, having to end those special relationships, searching for colleges when you don't even know where your family will be, etc.

I also feel that teens in the military community is an overlooked group that probably requires the most attention at this point in their lives. Because of that I created www.militaryteenonline.com as a starting point to connect military teens.

I have a couple of other spouses who are working with me to take The Military Teen Network to the next level. Its a slow process especially because teens seem to be reluctant to open up to us.

If either of you (or anyone else who joins the group) is interested in learning more about the organization or if you have any ideas or wish to get more involved, please send me a message or leave a comment.

Either way, welcome to the group and maybe we can share some of our teen happy and horror moments :)
