My son is a Lt Col . He is now an active reserve Marine and just returned from Afghanistan in Feb 2011. He graduated from the naval Academy  and then transferred to the Marines and was a pilot.  It is good to have him back on the home front.  He lives in Fredericksburg. VA  and I live in Indiana so I don't get to see him and his family often. He works for the government in DC.

My son LOVES being a Marine and I love being a Marine Mom! We are lucky that he is stationed near our home and he brings his friends (all Marines!) over for pizza, burgers, and we're looking forward to Thanksgiving with all of the Marines who can make it! God Bless them ALL!

Hi Marine Moms!
Blessings to each one of you as your sons/daughters are serving. Is your Marine deployed? Stateside? Training? Leading? Please tell us about him/her. Our son graduated from boot camp 2 years ago this past weekend. He's learned so much in the two years he's been a Marine. What about your Marine? Tell us about him/her!

What a nice report about your son. It's hard to be away from our kids and yes, maybe we can encourage each other here. They are stepping up to be such huge heroes and do the job of men, so even though they're our kids, they are making a huge contribution to our country. I love when I can hug a Marine!

My son is an awesome young man. He's deployed twice to Iraq, and just recently returned from Afghanistan. I see how much he's grown, and matured, and I couldn't be prouder. He's got a little sister that just adores him, an older brother and step-father that are all proud too. We don't live anywhere close to his base, so we feel rather cut off and out of touch. Hoping this web site will make us feel closer to other Marine moms, and families.

We are the lucky moms of Marines! We also need to be super careful about giving information out about our sons/daughters. I tend to gush and want to tell everyone everything about my son, but I can tell you that he works in security and is learning to become a K-9 handler for the Security Police where he works at Quantico, VA. He's wonderful! Now, tell me about your Marines!

My son is 23 and is one amazing Marine. He is loving his new Marine life, and I could not be more proud. We were able to go see him graduate from MCT in NC. And now we are able to skype so I get to see him on the computer all the time. This is a fabulous site, I am going to tell all my Marine parent friends all about it!!

Congratulations Cheryl to you and your Marine! Did he graduate from Perris Island or San Diego?
