Hi ladies....I too want to introduce myself.  I've been married to my best friend for almost 11 years.  We have 3 beautiful kids....son; nathan (9), son; aaron(7), daughter sammie (3).  My husband had been deploying for the last 7 years.  He is currently in Afghanistan.  Left on Halloween and will be back sometime in June.  He is a Seabee stationed at NBVC.  We are currently looking at orders and thinking of going overseas.  I'm anxious to meet others like me, as you know...we are all a special breed! :)

Hello Ladies!

I am proud to be a wife of a U.S. Navy Veteran. God has blessed me with a wonderful man and 2 beautiful boys. This year will be our 10-year Wedding Anniversary Celebration. I always believe that God is Great - always has been and always will be, even in times of trouble and in victories in life. I am also a stay-at-home mom who works from home and has a passion for Health & Wellness (Alternative Medicine) and Travel. I look forward to knowing each and everyone in this group and chatting with you as well. :-)

Hey Ladies! I  just joined! My husband and I moved to the Annapolis area this past October and we will be here for the next 2.5 years!  We don't know anyone in this area and I am hoping to get to know a few other Navy wives that live around here while we are here!

I have just joined!! My husband and I are soon to be married for one year and we have been together for 3. My husband is an MM and still in school  so we are still together and he won't have to deploy for at least another year( thank god!).  I have also started writing a column for a internet site. If anyone has any ideas feel free to share them and I hope all of you and your spouses are doing well.

Hi ,my name is Kelli, I'm 22 and my husband is in the United States Navy. We are stationed in San Diego, Ca but my husband just left on a deployment on Tuesday :(. I am back home in North Carolina visiting for the holidays. I plan on going back to California in January. I do not know anyone there so it is a bit scary knowing that I am going to be about 3,000 miles away from my family and friends. I am currently in school and planning on getting a part time job when I get back to San Diego. My husband and I are high school sweet hearts. We have been together for six years and married for two years. He reinlists in May. The life of a Navy wife is hard but it sure is worth it. I am so proud of my husband. :)

Katie-
I am so sorry to here you have had a hard time. I can tell you that I do understand what you are feeling about the missing of your hubby. I met my husband in Great Lakes, IL and the day before we married he had a division graduate bootcamp. Since then, we had gone through 2 deployments, 2 miscarriages and 1 pregnancy alone and a year living in different states. It is a hard life but I think it is worth it. I am proud of him and what he stands for. When I talk about the Navy, it is a "we" not "he". We are in this together b/c I married him knowing he was in the Navy.
As for the problem with the gossip, I have no comment. I would just take it with a grain of salt and remember that you are only with this command for a short time. You know you rrelationship and that is all that matters. Don;t give up!

I just celebrated my first year of marriage with my husband but it doesn't feel like much of a marriage. He left on deployment 6 months after we got married and is still not home. So far all this Navy life has done is made me feel alone. I went through a miscarriage, 2 deaths in my family and having to deal with one of his female shipmates trying to tell me she was messing around with my husband. Turns out she was a liar and just a slut. Oh and got called some names and had rumors spread by the CRG because my husband let it slip that I let him keep all his money. So I was a bad, uncaring wife because I don't give him an allowance per port I just let him spend what he wants. So I don't get why anyone would want to be a Navy wife in San Diego, CA.
