Hi Robyn,

We are stationed in Boston, MA. An hour from you but we are in Groton all the time. We have family there and it is the closest Navy Federal for us. My husband is not a submariner, but he was a rider in Hawaii.

Just joined! We are in Groton CT. while the hubby finishes up sub school. Hopefully we'll be staying here as his first duty station. Any other submariner wives???

I'm a mom of 3 currently in Annapolis, MD. DH is off at training and I am getting the joy of a PCS after all this too. Hope to meet other moms like me!

I was just told that we are most likely getting orders to Rota, Spain. Has anyone ever been there or does anyone have any advice?

Amanda, My husband is stationed in Norfolk, But the kids and I are in Southern MD. Where are you at in MD?

Hello fellow Navy spouses. I have been a Navy spouse for over 15 years. We have done deployments, an IA to Afghanistan and a GSA tour to Iraq and now we are back to sea duty. I don't live on base so I don't have much contact with any other military spouses. I have lived here for 2 1/2 months and have no friends. My husband has only been here a total of weeks so I have yet to meet anyone in the command yet. That is ok, it is what I am used to. Once I get a job, then I am able to make friends. Our daughter is 10 and is taking this move the hardest. We were able to stay at our last duty station for 4 1/2 years. That was the longest any where. I was an Ombudsman for 3 years and was also a Compass Mentor. I hope to always be positive, because the Navy is what we make it. I want new Navy wives to know this isn't easy being a Navy spouse, but there are seasoned wives to help give out advice. Have a great day everyone. =)
