Permalink Reply by Tina Lindauer on September 29, 2010 at 8:25am Hi Tina, Welcome to F'burg. We've lived here for over 25 years and have been homeschooling for 21 years. Down to the last one. There are some wonderful hs'ing groups in the area to connect with for activties, co-ops, academics etc. There are quite a few Military wives who are homeshooling. SRCH is a wonderful group that has a Teen Volleyball and Park Day for younger children on Fridays througth the fall. A great way to meet folks. SRCH covers Spotys - Stafford and beyond. TOOL is agreat group for younger children -- lots of field trips and helps -- guest speakers at their monthly meets. Just let me know how I can help you.
My military connection is my son, who is a Marine.
Born and mostly raised in New Jersey, Virginia became our home and I/we just LOVE IT. F''burg is a short drive to DC, Richmond, the mountains, and bit longer to the beach -- its all here.
Again, welcome to VA and to the F'burg area -- so much to explore
