Lori Bell is Founder and President of nammas.org (National Association of Military Moms and Spouses), the only social support network that brings thousands of moms of service members and spouses together in one fun, supportive online community.
When her husband deployed to Afghanistan for six months, Lori and her family barely had time to prepare. In only 3 weeks she was going to be a “single” parent to their kids, ages 2 and 10 months. One challenging deployment day, Lori was desperate to connect herself with other spouses who knew what she was experiencing, and then connect them with each other. She created NAMMAS.org, initially with only 7 members. Today, NAMMAS is known as the “support bra” of the military community where thousands of moms of service members and spouses find common ground.
