About Our Founder

Lori Bell is an Air Force veteran, military spouse, mom of 3 beautiful children and wife to a fabulous husband!  National Association of Military Moms and Spouses was founded one dark and snowy day during Lori's husband's deployment.  Out of desperation to find other spouses to talk to and hook up with, Lori created a community that joins moms and spouses together with the same language, the same challenges, and the same lifestyle issues. 

From an initial 7 members who joined September 2009, to today with thousands of moms and spouses from every Service, status and locations all over the world, NAMMAS has become the premier place where two of the most supportive groups of military life congregate.  NAMMAS has become the "support bra" of the military community, believing that when life gets tough we hold you "up and together!"

Lori is considered a military lifestyle expert and personal success and goal achievement strategist.  She  speaks to military audiences, women's conferences, and youth and girl groups all over the country.  Her signature talk is Prosper Where You're Planted for military spouses.  Other topics of interest include Together We Serve for corporations and educators, and YOU, Inc to inspire entrepreneurship in girls and young women. 

Recognized by Military Spouse Magazine as "2010 Military Spouse of the Year", Lori has been featured on NBC Nightly News "Making A Difference", Fox News' Fox and Friends, ABC News Good Morning America, and showcased on Lifetime TV as a "Remarkable Woman".
