National Association of Military Moms and Spouses

House Rules

Ok here's the stuff you need to read in order that we all behave like adults. Follow these simple guidelines and we'll all get along nicely.

1. Everything you post should be PG-13. No profanity, vulgar language, nude pictures or videos, blog posts, forum comments, photos or videos that display material that is considered offensive. Any private groups you create (ie, Langley AFB Spouses' Group or Moms Who Don't Do Dishes) must abide by this rule too.

2. No solicitations or advertisements. However, if you need advice or help in an area, you are more than welcome to post a question. You must not spam, sell, rent or share email addresses or names of this Association, or otherwise irritate other members of the National Association or the private groups you create or join within this site.

3. A note about OPSEC (Operational Security).  Now of all the rules, this is by far the most important.  You must be diligent to remember that although this is a military friendly group (although NAMMAS is NOT a DoD sponsored organization), this is the INTERNET.  The world wide web.  Don't get too comfortable posting your personal information, your husband's unit's status, your daughter's deployment that's taking too long, etc.   Use the "billboard" as a rule of thumb: If you would not post it on a billboard in Times Square, don't post it here.  That means your phone number.  Your address.  Your anything that you wouldn't want a stranger to know.  I want you to connect but I also what you safe, and as much as it depends on NAMMAS you will be.  But you have to do your part and be vigilant and smart.  Ok?

Now take a look at the New Member Guide and get busy connecting with the Moms and Spouses who are anxious to meet you!
