Before I get into everything that's happened in my life, I want to thank those that shared their experiences, words of encouragement, and introduced me to a slice of their lives. It was uplifting to see that there are other strong women out there that care enough to share with me how to push through the hard times, and that there is an end to the hardships of our husbands being deployed. Newly married! Travis n I were married April 27th, 2010 at my parents home in Wasilla, AK. I was born and raised here in Alaska, with the exception of 5 years spent in northern Minnesota. I realized that home was where I needed to be and moved back to Alaska before my 19th birthday and haven't left since! My husband is in Kuwait, hopefully only until September, and I can definitely say that I CANNOT wait until he's back home again! I miss him terribly, as I imagine any wife would. My parents and siblings live in Wasilla, and I've decided to spend the summer with them while Travis is overseas. I desperately needed something or someone to be around instead of being alone while Travis was gone. I pray for him and all the other soldiers that are overseas making a difference in the world, and keeping us safe here at home.

Before I get into everything that's happened in my life, I want to thank those that shared their experiences, words of encouragement, and introduced me to a slice of their lives. It was uplifting to see that there are other strong women out there that care enough to share with me how to push through the hard times, and that there is an end to the hardships of our husbands being deployed.
