I was online looking for some good icons for my f/b and stumbled across your website and I was shocked.. I never knew that they had a site for moms! As a spouse we had so many resources available to us, rear detachment, FRG, all sorts of wonderful people to connect with, but as a mom I noticed a severe lack of support. I was contacted once by my son's liason, and they weren't even associated with the unit, just a friendly parent trying to keep us all in touch. Even though all of the mom's here aren't with the same unit, troop or even base, at least there are others here who understand what you're going thru. My son is currently deployed to Guantanamo Bay Cuba with the 107th MP Company and has been gone for much too long. This is my first deployment as a mom, but I went thru a deployment with my ex husband so I am fully aware of the hardships it entails. I will pray for all the sons and daughters that are currently deployed and for those who children are looking to join the service, it is a very honorable profession. Thank you for this website!! And may your son remain safe and come home soon!
