I bet you are soooo excited!!!
We got back late Sunday night, and yesterday I was busy trying to upload all my pics.
I wanted to chat before you head to Texas.
It was very cold and wet for us...so make sure and dress warm!!! Brrrrr.
Also, make sure you allow enough time for standing in many lines...arrive early each day.
That first time you will be able to hug Chris is unbelievable!!!!!!! You will see in my pictures...I was "happy pufferfish tears"!! LOL
Oh, and after Friday the main gate to use is off of Valley high Rd...the other gates are locked and shut!! There were a few kids that were returned late because they were not aware of that. We did the Thursday 9 AM briefing which worked well...but again lots of standing in line.
A Great place to eat while you are on base liberty that has some nice space and a very cozy feel (we got a nice big round table) they served a great Buffet...is the Gateway club. We also went there on Sunday for a wonderful brunch.
We basically went to the Riverwalk on Saturday and the Alamo (they are right by each other)...then after that back to the hotel for some nice "Chillaxin" time.
I think I gained 15 pounds from all the eating we did!!! LOl
Be prepared for Chris to be hungry for everything that is not so good for him... soda, candy, burgers, fries, tacos..ect!!! :)
We stayed at the Sleep inn and suites Seaworld....it was an awesome hotel!!!
I am still floating on cloud nine here!!!
Sunday was very, very tough to say goodbye again..but it is also an exciting new journey as they head off to Tech School!!!!
David will be at Sheppard AFB for 5 weeks, then head to Dover AFB for on the job training. (Aerospace Maintenance) He will be working on C-5's.
