"My son is a Lt Col . He is now an active reserve Marine and just returned from Afghanistan in Feb 2011. He graduated from the naval Academy  and then transferred to the Marines and was a pilot.  It is good to have him back on the home…"

Hi Karen! I'm so glad to meet you, and to find this group! i live in Rhode Island...my father was a Navy man, and retired from Quonset Point; while the base has been closed forever, my family is still here.
I was a labor and delivery nurse until MS made it impossible to work consistently. I'm divorced. I have 4 children, 2 girls and 2 boys. My youngest is my Marine. He's a 311 in Afghanistan. My eldest is special needs; she is still home with me, along with all her pets. Between us we have 2 beagles, a cat, a rabbit and a mini horse. We now have a moratorium on livestock.
