He will be 21 on the 10th - hard to believe. Just a bummer that we get older when they do too! 

 

Poor Nick-dealing with his shop being so topsy tervy! Hope the new supvsr helps get things back in order. Too bad about the other 2 guys, I don't know how I'd feel if Josh did something that bad that he got kicked out--probably kill him-yep-def have to kill him!!

Oh that is a bummer about the forklift and license getting taken away.  Josh said the ice is horrible on the roads and lots, and that its never cleared away and its about at least 6 inches thick. 

That is so awesome for Theresa(?) to include Nick while she's visiting!  Bet he is loving the homecooking!! Those boys will be in a state of withdrawl when she leaves. lol

Josh is also having a few problems with supervisors, some like him, some don't.  They usually don't like Josh cause he tends to call it as he sees it and he's a smart ass.  They had a room inspection the other day and the bedroom area was fine but then they went into the kitchen/living room shared by 3 others, which is a disaster, they told him to clean it and he said flat out NO-I do not eat in here, I do not cook in here,the only thing I do in here is laundry.  I will not pick up after 3 other slobs that can't clean up after themselves just because their departments don't do room checks like the vehicle maintenence  department does (I'm guessing each department is responsible of room checks of the guys in that field) Well one of the supers' got pissed and the other one said' don't blame ya" and laughed.    But he did get some positive news at a meeting the other day, that of the whole shop, including the trainers, he got the highest number of vehicle turnovers, that is that he gets the vehicles job done and out and on to the next one.  and for 2 months now they have been giving him the problem vehicles that needed major work when most the others are getting the routine maintenence like oil changes.  I told him he should be very proud of himself because  that means they trust him with the fact that he does know what hes doing and hes a damn good worker always has been.

 

He is in the vehicle maintenence shop down at the other end of Wabash St.  Ask Nick if he sees a black dodge  pick-up driving around or parked in the parking lot with a snowmobile in the back of it.  I know Josh goes to midnight chow often and I think I remember you saying Nick does too sometimes.    As for deployment, I do pretty good holding it together until the time comes, he will be coming home in May and when he's about ready to leave, I got a feeling I'm going to be a mess =(   He's so happy about it and I can't help but to be happy for him because these last few months its been horrible to hear him so down about everything, its the worst feeling , a mom's helplessness, and hearing the depression start creeping in and I'm not there to smack him on the back of the head and say straighten up dammit . 

Hi Kathy. Josh just got done working 21 days straight-12 hours shifts for his punishment. He was almost at his beakng point last week-was ready to drive to Canada and say to hell with it all-but the next day he got his wish and they told him he and a few others from his shop will be deploying out to Afghanistan in June. He is now renewed and excited. As for the rest of the winter now that he's not on extra duty, that he wil get some snowboarding and snowmobile riding in but its just too cold for that lately.
