What military service are you and your family a member?
Navy
Hey everybody. I was watching the news when they did a report on this website. I couldn't help but want to get on and check it out. I am a veteran of the Navy and am also a little sister, daughter and niece of a few that just got out of and retired from the navy. I have a cousin who is serving. While I was active duty, my (now ex-husband) and I were both active duty. He had been gone on deployments a lot while I was stationed on shore duty. We also have a child together, and of course since I was on shore duty, my child stayed with me where I was stationed while we only saw my now ex husband maybe 1-2 times a month for about 2 days at a time. I have since got out after my tour was up to focus on being a momma (which I love) and being a part of a support system to friends and their families while their kids or husbands are away on their deployments. Being somebody who was active duty and married to and related to people who have served, I have seen many deployments of my loved ones. I hope I can meet some families and become a support for some in need.
