- I don't know any wives or really anyone at all from around here. I am originally from Iowa and my husband and i just got married this last june so i am very new to the army and this area. How long have you guys been up here?? What does your husband do if it can sometimes be bad for you to talk to the wives haha?? I don't mind NY that much, I really don't like cold or winter but what can ya do lol. My husband is deployed right now so I just have to suck it up and deal with the shoveling haha!! What do you do up here?? I am trying to find a job right now but sadly it is not working as well as I had hoped so now I am going to finish the last semester of classes I have to get my degree and maybe that will help.
