Thank you so much for giving me the information on AF Wingmoms. I cannot wait till I can see his picture on the site. He called me last night from the hotel in S.A, talking to him and knowing that he made it ok and that he was having fun made my first night alone a little bit easier. What I am confused about is I know he is suppose to call me to tell me his address but he wants me to let it go to voicemail so I don't miss anything. But from what I have read so far is that he is suppose to talk to someone. Should I let it go to voicemail or do I answer the call?

Diane, Don't worry so much. I have had a son and a daughter go through Air Force basic training, a daughter go through Army basic training and a son-in-law go through the Marines basic training. They all came through with flying colors and are all better for it. Just know that your son is missing you as much as you miss him, but is concentrating on getting through the training. They have the trainees send out a postcard to their family to let them know they are doing ok.
