I think you are doing a wonderful job!!!!
Lori,
My husband retired in 1992 after 21 years in the US Navy. I was a young girl, just 18 and a week out of high school when we got married. We had know each other for 4 years and he had been in the service for 3.I moved to his duty station of San Diego, away from everyone and every thing I knew.Thank God I had his aunt to help me. His uncle was also in the Navy and was also stationed in San Diego. I really don't know what I would have done without her. I heard about this…

PCS Season
This week I said goodbye to the third neighbor in less than a month. And there are a few more to follow in the coming weeks. PCS season is so interesting to me because it helps me to realize just who has become important to me. I was so sad to see some of my neighbors go. Those are the ones I hope will cross my path again in the future.
And I have really racked up on some pretty nice stuff from those that are packing out. I have acquired quite a few plants, some spices,…

Our Life.
My name is Amanda, an Air Force wife of only about 7 months. I married my wonderful airman Travis on December 26, 2009 when he came back home for his 2 week leave for Christmas. We are now currently living in Seaside, CA while he finishes his tech school here at the DLI. We don't have any kids as of right now but we are planning to start our family next March or so. We're really excited about that. :):) Also I will be starting online college classes for photography this fall,…

This is my perspective of being dual-military:
Every dual military couple has a story to tell. I am a hundred percent sure that mine is not the worse, but here goes.
My husband and I were both your typical Airman straight of basic training. We met and married within 3 months of meeting, everyone said we were doomed from the beginning. Now 4 years and two children later we are stronger than ever. This does by no means…

The heat is almost unbearable outsite. The temp is not that high but the humidity must be 100%.
I sit at my dining room table looking out of my patio doors and can see so many neighbors prepare to PCS. Moving trucks have taken over the streets. I don't see how they can work in this heat.
I am just so thankful my time to PCS has not yet arrived. I will miss many of the great neighbors but this just means more great mil spouses will be moving in.

Time Is Winding Down
We have a year left here in Japan and I am already started to feel the pressure. Because I am a planner and a self proclaimed professional organizer I feel the need to know where we are going next. But instead we are only being told where we are not going. One of those places that we are not going is Japan and that is unfortunate.…
