He left today
My beautiful fiance left today out of north island and will be gone for about 5 months and will pull in to Norfolk, Va. Man this is my first deployment and its hard ! Both of my parents were military and I get stronger every time, seeing them come and go. I'll be okay, im a big girl ! It sure would be nice to find girlfreind though that are in my area sine i dont know anyone here !

Hi Karollen, have you tried looking on meetup.com for a social group in your area? It's a great way to meet people who are also new to the area.

awwh im sorry hun. It's hard, but just think of how happy you'll be when he comes home :) I live in NC and I don't know anyone as well, so I know how you feel.
