New Army Wife
I guess I should start by introducing myself..
My name is Alena Skorpik Glassford. My husband is in the army (infantry) and we are currently stationed at Ft. Campbell. We are both originally from Chicago, IL. He PCS'ed to Campbell Jan. 2012 after being stationed in Germany for two years, so we finally got married March 2012! We have no kids yet, but we do plan on having little ones within the next two years :)
After two months of living off post in Clarksville, TN I finally got a job at O'Connor's Pub & Grill. I love my job there because it gives me a chance to mingle with people!! My husband isn't a big fan since it is a popular bar in town, but he doesn't complain about the extra income we take in weekly!
In August I will start school at Austin Peay University. I plan on being a HS Biology teacher, which I am very excited for. I love going to school and I'm glad it will keep me busy while my husband leaves here and there for JRTC plus days/weeks in the field. As for deployment, I am not sure when they will send him. I am nervous, of course, but I don't want to think about it until the time comes. There is a chance he will deploy in Feb. 2013, but we will see when the time comes!
