Making a Permanent Change of Station (PCS) move over the weekend presents some challenges. For those that don’t know what a PCS move is, it is when a military family has to move to its new location. Now, more often than not, these moves occur during the week. The most recent challenge I’ve had to endure was having a moving schedule that included a weekend. Civilians who move themselves might think, ‘moving over the weekend – great!’ Well, not so much for the military family.
Out of the countless PCS moves I’ve been involved in, from a child to an adult, this is the first time I’ve ever had my schedule cross a weekend.
