I am involved with Operation Hooah - a great organisation that sends packages to the outposts in Afghanistan. For a long time I have pondered what to pack into my packages, I wanted it to be really what the soldiers want and need. I read, I questioned and
finally got the idea to self address envelopes and added cards saying:
"Please tell me what you want or need". One of the pilots delivered my 10
note cards and today I received the FIRST 3.Some of the things
are real "well DUH's" like a fly swatter!!! OMG - I have to say, that we
have some really modest soldiers out there. They could have asked for
the world but they didn't. Basic stuff, really. I am touched!
Please
note what's been asked for and if you have it in your heart connect with Operation Hooah via Facebook: http://www.causes.com/causes/239271 and maybe send a package yourself.
